Grading Services
PGX Comics East only offers Express grading service. For Golden Age, Standard and Modern Services please submit those books to PGX Comics West.
- Express grading service (12 business days) is $20.00 per book up to $500. It’s $5 more for each additional $500 in value up to $4000.
- Next day service (3 business days) is $40.00 per book
Pressing and Cleaning
Comic pressing and cleaning can remove minor defects such as small dents and dings, finger/thumb bends/dents, non color-breaking creases, dirt, waviness from moisture and most storage and spine rolls. Removing these defects can often raise the grade of your books and the results have been phenomenal. PGX Comics East will press pre-1980 books. If you send pre-1980 books to press you may inquire about having them graded also.

- Standard Pressing & Cleaning (pre-1980) $25.00*
Signature & Art Authentication
Using our own proprietary database and authentication technology, PGX is able to authenticate your signed and/or sketched books:
- $15.00 per Signature/Sketch
(For books with multiple signatures, the cost is $15.00 for the first signature and $10.00 for each additional) - Witnessed Signatures: $8.00 each
(Witnessed signature service is only for books where the signature was witnessed being signed and is dated. unwitnessed books don’t have a date)
PAYMENT DETAILS
We accept payment made by credit card, personal check, money order or we can send you an invoice via PayPal using your PayPal email address.
Grading Fee Exception: Books that have a FMV of $4,000 or more have a fee of 1% with a fee cap of $300. Pressing Fee Exception: Books that have a FMV of $4,000 or more for pressing have a fee of 1% with a fee cap of $150. Original fees are included in the 1%.
RETURN SHIPPING
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING RATES WILL BE DETERMINED WHEN SUBMISSION IS RECEIVED
Please note that we can only ship up to 30 books in one box so you will need to take this into account when submitting larger orders. Also, pressing is a very delicate process, so please be aware that it may add time to the
Express and Next Day Grading Services.
Insurance is required on all orders and should be purchased based upon the fair market value of your books
(as determined by you).
